HOW TO START A PODCAST FROM SCRATCH
We started off as 3 friends shooting the breeze to entertain ourselves, our show, "The Moore goober Than Podcast, turned into something we'll do until we drop. We take 3 similar themed movies and decide which one is better than the other. We had no idea how to start a podcast, but after over 40 shows and year later, we're awfully glad we did. We'd love to answer any questions about our progress, what our show consists of, tech questions, forming a network, social media marketing, or anything else.

Filmmaker Rickey Bird is on a mission to help indie moviemakers everywhere. Today’s indie film market is growing by leaps and bounds. At the same time, many aspiring filmmakers are running into their share of problems. but never fear... The Cheap Movie Tricks Panel is here.
In this panel Rickey will explain how planning and shooting a short film today can lead to a feature-length project tomorrow. Everything you need to know about writing a movie project on a burger budget, tips on how to find locations and not get arrested.Shooting tips galore for building exciting scenes sound and film editing tips and all kinds of special effects wizardry, including puppetry screenings, promotions and juicy tips on film festival strategy. Highlighting items from the Cheap Movie Tricks Book (Available on Amazon or Barnes and Noble)
Rickey will share a filmmaking tips and give you tips on how to make your next project look like a big budget production.

Meet special guests Pat Priest (Marilyn Munster) and Lisa Loring (Wednesday Addams) as they talk about staring in 2 of the Greatest 1960's TV shows EVER ! The 2 Iconic shows have been a hit for every generation since they originally aired, and will forever live on as 2 of the best, most beloved TV series' of all time. Also, this will be Pat Priest last time on a conventions stage since she is retiring after this show, so don't miss a chance to see these 2 classic and wonderfull actress' on stage.

Actor, visual effects supervisor, animator, and voice-over artist C. Andrew Nelson discusses his career in film, television, games and beyond. Hear how he was inspired by Disney to get into the entertainment industry, how he began working for George Lucas, how he inherited the role of Darth Vader, how he voiced the character of Luke Skywalker, how he became a VFX artist for the Star Wars films, and how his career came full circle creating magic for Disney. Plus, learn from Andrew what it takes to break into visual effects, animation, games, acting, and voice-over. Don't miss this panel..."it is your destiny!"

Local Media Personalities Aaron Perlman and Matt Pelishek of the radio show "the Afternoon Joy Ride" (88.3 fm) discuss being fan boys in a professional broadcasting world. With hilarious fanboy stories, the annual comic book rap videos, and a Q & A.

8th ANNUAL CHARITY RAFFLE
Join Us for the 8th Annual CHARITY RAFFLE! This is an important event that will be going on all day. We will have some very nice items we will be raffling off, including... Some great H/B Comic Books, Graded Comics, Vintage Comics, More signed pieces and Original Art. 100% of ALL FUNDS Raised go to the Bakersfield Rescue Mission Food Drive.
Here are the simple rules...
*Must be present to win, If you are not present at 3:30pm, we will draw another ticket.
*You can buy as many tickets as you wish.
*If you want to try to win any one certain lot, you can put all your tickets into that lot.
*All Prizes will be donated by Bakersfield Comic-Con or local vendors.

Thats Right Fans.. Come dressed up as your favorite Comic Book, Fantasy, Game, Cartoon or Fiction Hero or Villain!
As always we encourage Cosplay and Costumes... but this year we are going to Have a Prize for the best ones. All Costumes will be Judged by Our Celebrity and Artist Guests. Sign Ups start at 1:00 PM on each day at the registration tables.

Saturday Adult Contest (16 and Over)
Adult: Best Costume 1st Place $50.00
2nd Place $30.00
3rd Place $10.00
Adult: Fan Favorite 1st Place $ 20.00





Sunday Kids Contest Children: (15 & Under) 1st Place $25.00
2nd & 3rd Place $10.00 ea

*BFCC COSTUME CONTEST RULES:
NO: Nudity or Heckling
Costumes can be home made and store bought
Extra points for creativity
Props can be used, Be respectful of others
Must registered the day of show. Sign up at the Registration.
Must be a paid attendee of the convention. NO PROFESSIONALS.
Children's category is for ages 15 and under.
Adult's category is for ages 16 and up.
Couples costumes or group costumes will be counted as one entry.

At (about) 5:30 pm, (After the Costume Contest) Come take pictures with the Fans, and EVERYONE IN COSTUME is invited to take a group "photo shoot" to be used on the BFCC website and Face Book for all to see.

Meet The HORSEMEN OF JUDGEMENT KEEP

The Horsemen of Judgment Keep or "Horsemen" are a war band primarily located in the Kingdom of Caid. The Horsemen of Judgment Keep will be coming to the show in full gear. They will be set-up in the besdie the convention center ... Make sure to go by and see them.
The Horsemen are an organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 20 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.
